Living in an environment of silence they say is golden. But have you ever wondered about the effect of silence in the life of the hearing impaired? Sure, silence is golden when you have a choice but hardly so when it forms your world day and night. Imagine not being able to tune in to the everyday sounds that the hearing world takes for granted – the chirping of birds, the pitter-patter of rain, the hum of vehicles passing by, the list is endless. Visualise not being able to comprehend what others say or enjoy melodious music.
Our vision is to enrich and improve the quality of life of over 10,000 Deaf by the end of this decade and to make them financially self reliant and contributors in main stream society.
